Grissini breadsticks are the classic appetiser from Piemonte in Northern Italy , where the recipe was created three centuries ago. 
 
This recipe uses whole meal flour and quality extra virgin olive oil. Strips of dough are individually hand rolled and pulled into the characteristic Grissini shape before baking.
